Title:  "Evaluation and Management of Adhesive Capsulitis: An Update on Current Trends"

Speaker:  Amar Mutnal MD, is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.  He is affiliated with NOMS in Sheffield Village, OH.

Description:  Dr. Mutnal will be discussing the diagnosis, management and current techniques utilized in shoulder orthopedics including hydrodilation procedure.

Objective:  Practitioners should be able to diagnose and manage Adhesive Capsulitis cases in their practice and properly refer cases as necessary.

Methods:  Seminar is primarily slide presentation from presenter, along with some hands on instruction.  There will be time for question and answer session at conclusion of seminar.

Credit Hours:  2 hours, in class or live online only.  Access to computer that can run Zoom necessary for live online portion only.

Cost:  FREE to members of the NOAC.  $50 fee for non-members which can be paid by check or credit card at meeting.  This seminar is intended for licensed Chiropractic Physicians.

Title:  "Fall Prevention and Balance Training"

Speaker:  Matthew Gajkowski DC, is a chiropractic physician at the Cleveland VA.  He is board certified in rehab. He has over 25 years of experience as a chiropractic physician and 15 years of experience working in a neurosurgical group practice.

Description: Among older adults, falls are the leading cause of injury deaths. They are also the most common cause of nonfatal injuries and hospital admissions for trauma (CDC 2005). About half of all falls happen at home.

Objective: In this talk you will learn how to identify adult patients with impaired balance, learn about some of the common causes and how to implement a progressive program to improve their balance with in-office and home balance exercises.   Additionally, you will be able to give seniors a comprehensive fall prevention plan that will help eliminate the risk of falling at home.
